A new cousin to play with!

Well, as you can tell it has been over a year since I have posted any messages to this site. I decided that since I’m working close to home now and all of my family and friend are (or soon to be) scattered throughout the country, I should start updating it again. Actually, the real reason to get started again is to introduce everyone to my new nephew Xavier Hatfield!

Ok, so he’s the one in the blanket… I just wanted everyone to see my sweet hat… Here’s a better shot of him!

He is so awesome! He was 10.5 lbs & 22 inches long when he was born. (His ultra competitive father just had to beat both of my kids. =) He is the sweetest little dude. I saw him on his first day out for 2+ hrs and he didn’t make a peep the whole time. He just wiggled and maybe made something that resembled a cry when he was hungry. Ok, I cry more when I’m hungry and he still getting feed the good way… O yeah… you know what I’m talking about…. Julie’s going to take the kids up to see him today while I’m at work. I hope they get some good pictures of them together.

Halle & Matt + Grad School

Halle and Baby Matt are really starting to get along. Even though I will still hear, "Don't Pick Baby Matt up Daddy", She is really starting to become concerned for him. Today she bent down and gave him a kiss good bye when her and Mommy went to the store. I even caught her laying down next to him smiling and playing. Baby Matt just adores her as much as a month old can. He watches her every movement when she's by him.

I got my first assignment back from grad school. Not as good as I would have hoped, but better than expected. I ended up with a 23/30. I had to hurry and turn it in due to a misunderstanding on the due date. I wrote an opinion on 7 companies IT strategies in 5 minutes! What's even more surprising is I was docked 5 pts for formating, and only 2 for content. So I could have came away with 28/30. We'll see how the next assignment goes, I have 4 due next week that I'll have to do at lunch break.

Julie and I decided that it is time to start dieting again. I am really excited since I have been over eating since Oct. We have a Fat Tracker, an excel sheet that we do weigh in's every week. She went to Wal-Mart today and got all of the items we need. Drano, Lipo suction..... Stay tuned for the results next week!

Halle’s Birthday

Halle’s Birthday was great. Julie’s Mom and Dad came down to watch Baby Matt, so Mommy and Daddy got to take Halle to Chucky Cheese by herself. She had a great time playing on the games and running around with the other kids. Her favorite game was where you got a wooden ball and you use a big steering wheel to try to guide it into a hole. It was cute seeing her grab this big steering wheel she couldn’t even see over to play. She also liked the game were you shoot water into the clowns mouth to race with someone. She kept saying “The Balls are getting wet!” and laughing.

On the way home we stopped off at Giant Eagle and picked up her “Thomas the Tank Cake”. We went home and sang Happy Birthday w/ Grammy and Poppy Manes and Uncle Chris. Poppa Roger, Grandma Char, Aunt Sara, and Geoffrey the Giraffe (Toys R Us) called to wish her a Happy Birthday. She had a great day, and kept saying “Fun Birthday”. She had a smile on her face all day long.

Later that night Baby Matt did something that was hilarious! I was in our bedroom and I heard Matt start crying louder than I ever have heard before. Then I start hearing Julie LAUGH and ask if he was OK! She explained to me that Matt hit himself in the head with his rattle once and then scream (AAHHH), twice and scream (AARRGGHHH), then a third time and really started crying! It was so funny, because he was Yelling at the rattle to stop hitting him in the head! All I can say is I think he I going to take after both Mom and Dad!
